If you have a special someone you are hoping to impress to get that coveted New Year’s Eve kiss or under the mistletoe, you can show off how coordinated and strong you are with this exercise. Brains and brawn?! Irresistible!
Target Muscle Group: Chest, arms, shoulders, core.
Performance Points:
- Start in a high plank position, hands aligned directly under the shoulders.
- Perform a pushup by bending and extending at the elbows.
- At the top of the push-up, cross hands over and step feet over to move to the right.
- Perform a pushup and then step back in the other direction.
Modifications:
- Level 1: Perform pushups off of your knees or on an incline (eg. on a step, or wall) and move only the hands over.
- Level 2: Perform pushups from your toes and move with arms and legs.
- Level 3: Add extra steps/crossovers between pushups, have your small family member sit on you while you push-up!
